Off Center Mohawk

My twin stepdaughters had the cutest style done by their auntie, so I copied it and added my own spin of course! Now we've got triplets! I washed and conditioned Kurly T's hair with Organix Coconut Milk and HEHH (our old faithfuls). I used Giovanni's Direct Leave In as a moisturizer and oiled her scalp with our oil mix (tea tree EO, peppermint EO, rosemary EO, coconut, grapeseed, and almond oils) and sealed the ends with coconut oil. I put her hair in 10 medium braids to stretch and dry overnight. The next day I styled with Bee Mine Luscious Moisturizer and Curly Butter, then spritz with Bee Mine Juicy Daily Moisturizer. We have been getting 2 week hair using the Bee Mine products. These have definitely become styling staples. I used rainbow pony beads in the back and butterfly beads for the bangs. We hope you likey!!

  1. Very Cute!! FYI one of the best ways to figure out texture (at least the best way I have figured out and I have 8 AA girls with natural hair), it to look at her hair when it is wet. Once it is soaked down, pick up a small layer on the top of her head where it flat(ter) and try to form curls. If it forms ringlets then it is more 3c/4a. If the hair doesn't form ringlets easier it is more 4b/4c.

I think her hair is probably more 3c.4a based on the length. My 2 daughters with 4b/4c have difficulties with breakage and the oldest's hair barely reaches her shoulders and she is 15, my other 4b/4c daughter is only 3 so it hasn't had much time to grow.

My other 6 daughters all have a mixture of 3c/4a/4b thoughout their hair. Most of their hair reaches somewhere between their shoulders and "hiney". Even my other 3 year old's hair reaches past her shoulders.
